Thurrock Community Empowerment Network is an organisation based in Grays, Thurrock. The Organisation has been operational since the beginning of 2008 and is tasked with improving community involvement, empowerment and generally giving the people of Thurrock a greater say in how their services are provided.

As an organisation we have gone from strength to strentgh growing beyond a project based organisation to becoming the lynch pin in active citizenship, community involvement and empowerment in Thurrock.

We continue to deliver projects to increase understanding, and generate opportunities to influence decisions in addition to managing the Community Involvement Board, spear heading the Take Part pathfinder programme and managing a network of 500+ Voluntary, Community and Faith based organisations.

We aim to support local organisations, through training opportunities, information sharing and facilitating communication. We also have a strong relationship with our Public sector Partners including NHS South West Essex, The Police, The Council and the development Corporation to ensure our work really makes a difference.
