About Us

“to enable Thurrock residents to be aware of, inform and influence the planning and delivery of local public services”

Over the two year lifespan of TCEN we have evolved and moved from strength to strength developing our services and role as an organisation in Thurrock. We began as a network of organisations looking to generate a greater voice for the voluntary, community and faith sectors in Thurrock regarding public services ( those delivered by the Council, NHS, Police, Development Corporation).

We now find ourself in a multifunctional role delivering strategic and frontline operational projects as well as fulfilling our original role. Please have a look at our services and work page for more details.

We now have three paid staff two full time officers and one part time administrator, between the three of us we manage and deliver a variety of projects including the management of the Community Involvement Board and Take Part in Thurrock. We are located within the Beehive Resource Centre in Grays and are part of Thurrock Council for Voluntary Services Team.

We are funded by the Shaping Thurrock Local Strategic Partnership and Communities and Local Goverment through the Take Part Pathfinder scheme and also commission for individual project work.
